Elisabeth H. Hunt

Elisabeth Hunt assists the Electrical & Computer Technologies Group in patent prosecution in the areas of speech recognition, signal processing, acoustics, software, and electronics.

Elisabeth’s graduate and doctoral research at MIT involved acoustic analysis of human speech sounds for improved knowledge-based lexical access and speech recognition models.

Before joining the firm, Elisabeth served as an editor at American Journal Experts where she worked to improve the language and style of academic research manuscripts for submission to U.S. scholarly journals. Between college and graduate school, she was a graduate research fellow for Lucent Technologies, where she researched noise characteristics of indium phosphide heterojunction bipolar transistors for lightwave and wireless applications.

While at Princeton, Elisabeth performed research on the morphology of thin-film liquid depositions via dip-coating for macroelectronics fabrication. She also served as a research assistant at International Solar Electric Technology, Inc., where she researched experimental procedures for the fabrication of copper indium gallium selenide photovoltaics.

Elisabeth is a member of the Tau Beta Pi National Engineering Honor Society. She was also a recipient of the Lucent Technologies Bell Laboratories Graduate Research Fellowship.

In college, Elisabeth performed as a member of and tour manager for a student-run singing group, the Princeton Katzenjammers. In graduate school, she minored in Music and was awarded an Emerson Advanced Music Performance Fellowship. She was also the winner of the 2007 MIT Concerto Competition and has performed with the Tanglewood Festival Chorus of the Boston Symphony Orchestra.
