Shannon Vittengl focuses her practice on patent prosecution in the areas of mechanical devices, medical products, and athletic equipment.
- For major consumer products client, has conducted clearance searches, drafted patent applications, and overseen patent portfolio .
- Assisted small athletic company in development of new product in a crowded space.
- Advised student-originated start-up company on patent matters.
- Counseled numerous consumer product companies on U.S. and foreign design patent filing strategies.
While a student, Shannon worked as a Mechanical Systems Intern at General Electric’s Corporate Research and Development Center where she conducted design projects and test studies for refrigeration products. She has worked for GE Silicones as a Reliability Engineering Co-op where she assisted with projects that increased equipment efficiency and decreased maintenance costs. Shannon spent time at Turner Construction, working as a Preconstruction Engineer and budgeting upcoming projects.
