Wolf Greenfield Attorneys Speak at American Conference Institute’s Annual ITC Conference

Shareholders Greg Corbett and Mike Rader spoke at the American Conference Institute’s (ACI) 9th Annual Expert Forum on ITC Litigation & Enforcement, held from February 22-23 in Washington, D.C.

Greg moderated an in-house counsel roundtable on arguing standard essential patents and other issues, which included patent litigation decision-makers from Sony, Qualcomm, Samsung, Hewlett Packard Enterprise and Varian Medical Systems. Mike served as a panelist at a session on how Section 101 is successfully being argued at the ITC and how the Commission is treating subject matter eligibility. Among other cases, Mike highlighted Wolf Greenfield’s recent victory for Sony at the ITC in Investigation No. 994. In that case, the Administrative Law Judge found the complainant’s patent invalid under Section 101 in the context of the ITC’s new, expedited “100-day program”—the first patent ever held invalid in that program.
