October 13, 2011

Wolf Greenfield today announced that Chelsea Loughran has been named to IP Magazine’s short-list for its Young Intellectual Property Lawyer of the Year Award.

The Young Intellectual Property Lawyer of the Year Award recognizes legal professionals under the age of 35, who have demonstrated outstanding abilities and a commitment to personal and professional development, technical skill, innovation, and high levels of legal and commercial competence which set them apart from their peers.

Chelsea, an integral member of the Wolf Greenfield’s Litigation Practice Group, dedicates the bulk of her time to the areas of trademark, trade dress, patent, and copyright litigation. She recently represented The Jackson Laboratory, helping that client obtain a rare and unprecedented dismissal in a landmark patent infringement lawsuit concerning transgenic mice used for research on Alzheimer’s disease. Chelsea is also extremely active in the Boston community representing numerous pro bono clients and leading the firm’s fundraising initiatives in support of pro bono causes.

Wolf Greenfield President and Managing Partner, Tim Oyer, extended congratulatory remarks on behalf of the firm: “We applaud Chelsea for her ongoing contributions and on her professional achievement, thus far. She embodies innovation, dedication and hard work, making her undoubtedly qualified for this award.”

“I am especially honored to be considered for the Young IP Lawyer of the Year Award, given the international range and scope of the IP Magazine award,” Chelsea said.

Winners will be announced at a champagne reception on November 16 in the Grand Connaught Rooms in Central London.
