How do you make sense of the huge numbers tossed about when discussing patent litigation? Should you be scared off by the high costs of bringing a patent case ­-- $2 million to $5 million through trial, according to surveys -- or should you focus on the potentially enormous awards that can result (including some recent eight-figure and even nine-figure verdicts)?
