C. Hunter Baker, MD, PhD, joins Wolf Greenfield as Counsel in our Pharmaceutical Group

C. Hunter Baker

We are pleased to announce that C. Hunter Baker, MD, PhD, has joined our firm as Counsel in our Pharmaceutical Group. He will also be a member of our Biotechnology and our Chemical & Materials Technologies Groups.

Hunter will focus his practice on patent prosecution and strategic counseling in the areas of pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, chemistry, materials, and medical devices.

Hunter was previously a partner with Choate Hall & Stewart, LLP in Boston where he represented major universities, research centers, startups and medium-sized companies in developing intellectual property strategies, conducting patentability searches and freedom-to-operate studies, prosecuting patent applications, drafting opinions, and counseling clients on licensing. 

Hunter completed his medical training at Harvard Medical School where he was an MD-PhD student in the Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology. His graduate work in Professor EJ Corey’s laboratory at Harvard University focused on an important enzyme in the biosynthesis of cholesterol and other steroids. He received his undergraduate degree in Chemistry from MIT, a masters degree in Chemistry from Harvard, and his law degree, cum laude, from Boston College Law School.

Hunter has published numerous articles in scholarly journals and is a member of the American Chemical Society, Boston Patent Law Association, and Sigma Xi.
