Entry Level Litigation Paralegal

This is a great opportunity for entry level candidates to break both into Intellectual Property and Litigation. The Litigation Paralegal will assist attorneys in the practice of law. They will have exposure primarily as it relates to all phases of the IP litigation process including; pre-trial research, discovery, Markman, mediation and trial. 


  • Track Case related docketing of appearances and deadlines
  • Manage complex ITC, Federal,  Superior and Appellate court cases
  • Manage paper & electronic discovery, including organization of depositions, exhibits and document productions
  • Create, maintain, manage and search electronic databases
  • Assist with document retrieval from courts
  • Prepare electronic/paper court filings, including legal cite-checking and compilation of exhibits & appendices
  • Assist with Trial preparation and attendance, which may include preparation and management of trial exhibits, trial notebooks, expert witness binders, courtroom and war room setup (may require travel, including out of state)
  • Participate in Litigation related factual and legal research
  • Draft correspondence, basic pleadings, motions and privilege logs
  • Assist fellow paralegals within group
  • Meet an annual billing goal of 1400 hours
  • Complete tasks/projects/other responsibilities as firm needs dictate, including pro bono and client development projects


  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience required
  • 0-3 year experience as a paralegal, with basic understanding of the litigation process
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Detail oriented with good organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task in fast passed team environment
  • Ability to be flexible in work schedule
  • Ability to work with and take direction from more senior litigation paralegals
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and general database knowledge is highly preferred
