Litigation Paralegal

Wolf Greenfield has an excellent opportunity for enthusiastic candidates interested in working at robust law firm. The experienced Litigation Paralegal will use their knowledge and experience to assist attorneys in the practice of law, primarily as it relates to all phases of the IP litigation process, including pre-trial research, discovery, markman and trial. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Monitor Case related docketing
  • Manage ongoing and upcoming complex International Trade Commission, Federal and Superior court cases
  • Create, maintain, manage and search electronic databases
  • Manage paper & electronic discovery including but not limited to; organization of depositions, exhibits and document productions
  • Coordinate document retrieval from courts
  • Prepare electronic/paper court filings, including legal cite-checking and compilation of exhibits & appendices
  • Prepare for trials; including preparation and management of trial exhibits, trial notebooks, expert witness binders, courtroom and war room setup (may require travel)
  • Assist with Trial preparation and attendance
  • Participate in Litigation related factual and legal research
  • Draft correspondence, basic pleadings, motions and privilege logs
  • Assists other paralegals within group, as required
  • Perform additional tasks and projects, including pro bono and client development projects as requested
  • Meet a billing goal of 1400 hours annually

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
  • Mid level candidates will have 3-5 years as a litigation paralegal on complex litigation, with trial experience and knowledge of IP litigation process
  • Extensive experience with electronic discovery databases, Case Notebook, Pacer, Microsoft Word, Westlaw, Excel and Outlook and other litigation specific software
  • Familiarity with jurisdictional rules & procedures
  • Interest in and affinity for litigation related technology
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to exercise problem solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a deadline oriented environment
