Technology Specialist (Full-Time)

We have immediate openings in our Boston and New York offices for experienced and entry-level patent agents and technology specialists in the following practice group: 

Biotechnology, Chemical & Materials Technologies (CMT), Electrical and Computer Technologies (ECT), Mechanical Technologies and Pharmaceutical.

An advanced degree is required for the Biotechnology, Chemical & Materials Technologies, and Pharmaceutical practice groups. The CMT group is actively recruiting for the New York office, and is only considering lateral candidates at this time. The Electrical and Computer Technologies and Mechanical practice group consider bachelor's, master's and Ph.D. candidates. Please note that the Mechanical Technologies group recruits for attorney track candidates only. The ideal candidate for the Mechanical Technologies group will have a background in robotics.

Technology Specialist Summer Internship

For undergraduate and graduate students looking to gain experience in patent law, we offer a technology specialist summer internship. Our tech spec interns gain hands-on experience by participating in a wide variety of work with our technology specialists, patent agents and attorneys. Examples include meeting with inventors, drafting patent applications about their inventions, and responding to Patent Office inquiries. We pair each summer intern with a mentor who will provide support and guidance throughout the internship. Throughout the summer, there will be opportunities to learn about new and exciting technologies, to work closely with experts in the field of patent law, and to understand how intellectual property plays a vital role in shaping a company’s business.

We are currently accepting applications for the 2023 Summer Program. The summer internship program is a 10-week internship that runs in conjunction with our Summer Associate program from mid-May through the end of July.
