Three Wolf Greenfield Attorneys Promoted to New Positions

Wolf, Greenfield & Sacks, P.C. is pleased to announce the promotion of three lawyers to new positions in 2013. The promoted attorneys represent a range of practice areas including litigation, mechanical technologies, and trademark and copyright.

John Strand and Eric Amundsen have been promoted to Shareholder and Jerry Hrycyszyn has been named Counsel.


John Strand focuses his practice on the enforcement and defense of intellectual property rights in patents, trademarks, and domain names. He has assisted clients in a number of industries including airport and border security and detection services, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, internet-based sales, yacht brokerage, telematics, home warranty, and snowboard design. He has applied his training to manage all aspects of litigation from inception through trial, including managing discovery, taking and defending numerous depositions including fact, inventor, expert, arguing motions, preparing witnesses for trial, and taking direct testimony at trial. John has been repeatedly named one of the Massachusetts Super Lawyers’ "Rising Stars" in the field of intellectual property litigation.

Eric Amundsen counsels clients on strategic patent portfolio development, clearance studies, and patent validity and infringement opinions. Eric has worked with a wide variety of technologies, including manufacturing equipment, sporting goods, medical devices, consumer products, software, and business methods. Eric’s graduate work was in the area of computer-aided design, including its application to distributed design processes and technology policy analysis. Before joining the firm, Eric worked as a mechanical and environmental engineering consultant for GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc. where he designed and implemented remediation strategies, including treatment systems and regulatory controls.


Jerry Hrycyszyn litigates a wide variety of intellectual property cases, specializing in technology-intensive matters in the semiconductor and electronics industries. Jerry has also been named one of the Massachusetts Super Lawyers' "Rising Stars" in the field of intellectual property litigation.
