Wolf Greenfield Named Top Trademark Law Firm by World Trademark Review in 2021

Wolf Greenfield has been ranked as one of only two law firms in the gold category in Massachusetts and attorneys received national individual recognition in the World Trademark Review 1000 – The World’s Leading Trademark Professionals 2021. Now in its eleventh year, the WTR 1000 remains the only standalone publication to recommend individual practitioners and their firms exclusively in the trademark field. The publication identifies the leading trademark law firms and individuals in over 80 jurisdictions globally. Wolf Greenfield has been included in the WTR 1000 each year since the list’s inception.

“A ‘top-notch firm and a lock for the gold tier,’ Wolf Greenfield is a formidable player in trademark practice and intellectual property more broadly. It combines a rich tradition with a forward-thinking approach to brands and a responsive, cost-effective service, making it the complete package for companies as they select, protect and enforce trademarks the world over,” noted WTR.

Three attorneys were honored for individual achievement:

  • Doug Wolf, Trademark & Copyright Practice Chair, earned silver honors in the national prosecution and strategy category. He also earned gold honors in the Massachusetts prosecution and strategy category and silver honors in the Massachusetts enforcement and litigation category. WTR referred to Doug as “an accomplished handler of portfolios large and small.” Doug is “smart, reasonable and easy to work with, he doesn’t play pointless games, but gets right down to business,” remarked an interviewee.
  • Christina Licursi, shareholder in the Trademark & Copyright Practice, earned bronze honors in the Massachusetts prosecution and strategy category and silver honors in the Massachusetts enforcement and litigation category. Christina leverages her “excellent prosecution skills and interpersonal qualities” when working with clients, remarked an interviewee.
  • John Welch, counsel in the Trademark & Copyright Practice, earned silver honors in the national enforcement and litigation category. He also earned gold honors in both the Massachusetts prosecution and strategy category and the Massachusetts enforcement and litigation category. “John Welch practices at the cutting edge of trademark law and is a leading expert on TTAB proceedings,” remarked an interviewee.
