In Decade Long Run, Wolf Greenfield Raises More Money Than Any Other Firm for GBLS Associates Fund Drive, Sets New Personal Record

We are proud to announce that Wolf Greenfield recently completed a successful fundraising campaign supporting the Greater Boston Legal Services (GBLS) Associates Fund Drive. For the tenth straight year, Wolf Greenfield raised more than any other participating law firm. The firm raised over $145,000 to support the work of GBLS on behalf of domestic violence survivors—surpassing our personal fundraising record.

In total, the Drive raised over $683,000 for GBLS. The Drive benefits the GBLS Family Law Unit, which provides legal assistance and representation to low-income survivors of domestic violence to restore them and their children to an economically sustainable life free of abuse. The GBLS Family Law Unit also addresses broader legal and public policy issues that perpetuate domestic violence and obstruct the road towards physical and emotional well-being and economic independence for people who have experienced domestic violence.

“To work with such generous colleagues is humbling,” said Ed Gates, President and Managing Partner of Wolf Greenfield. “We are both grateful and proud to do our part in continuing to aid GBLS in their efforts to provide crucial support to those who need it most.”

Led by Wolf Greenfield attorneys Stuart Duncan Smith, Michelle Nyein, and Phil Hamzik, every associate, counsel, and technology specialist in Boston contributed, with the firm’s shareholder group providing matching funds. Wolf Greenfield shareholder Mike Rader helped lead the firm’s shareholder fundraising efforts.

Wolf Greenfield first won the Jack Ward Cup—the award given to the top fundraiser of the Drive—in 2013, raising $37,448. This year now marks the most money ever raised in the Drive.
