Saad Alam assists the Electrical & Computer Technologies Group in patent prosecution. His areas of focus are control systems and machine learning.
Prior to joining Wolf Greenfield, Saad worked as both a control systems engineer and software engineer at GE Aviation. Most recently as a control systems engineer, Saad created the first-ever polynomial regression model to predict aircraft Mach number, eliminating the need for an engine sensor on the Passport 20 jet engine. In addition, he led the engine testing efforts for the first-ever operation of the Passport 20 engine Thrust Reverser System and designed the engine’s Power Management control scheme. As a software engineer, Saad designed and implemented engine monitoring unit software for three different health reporting functions on the GENx jet engine, and designed over 20 test cases to validate and certify the engine monitoring unit reporting software.
