Ian Mullet focuses his practice on patent prosecution in areas related to chemistry and materials science. He has experience with counseling and litigation in a variety of mechanical and chemical technologies, including water treatment, emulsion formation and waste processing.
Ian counsels startups, large corporations and leading academic institutions on such practices as due diligence and portfolio development.
When one client approached the firm with a stalled portfolio, Ian was able to review the family of applications, provide a fresh approach to the claim strategy, and obtain key coverage for the client’s core technologies.
Ian earned his J.D. from the University of New Hampshire School of Law. He received his M.S. in chemical engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, where he performed research related to atmospheric aerosol formation.
