Austin Steelman counsels clients in the areas of patent and trade secret litigation. He has experience analyzing patent infringement and invalidity, preparing for and defending depositions, working on fact and expert discovery, and engaging in settlement negotiations. Austin also works with the firm’s pro bono clients.
Prior to becoming an associate, Austin worked on litigation matters as a Wolf Greenfield summer associate including assisting with Internet domain name disputes and various litigation matters.
During law school, Austin was a legal intern at the US Department of Energy’s Office of Assistant General Counsel for Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer, where he worked on legal issues regarding patent rights and royalty sharing. During law school, Austin participated in the Tenant Advocacy Project, advising and advocating for clients facing in need of accommodation for public housing.
